I wish for a sea change. A large tidal push in society to which I can add my voice. A monumental shift, a deep moan. Moving towards a gathering deluge. A time where the momentum carries me. Feeling a pull and succumbing. Moving with the water instead of acting as a pillar against it, feeling it push back and past, digging my feet in the sand. This work is in response to the need to fill my lungs with air and let the water lift me and move me in a hopeful and inclusive direction. Carried by nets of souls bonded by purpose. Building on my last body of work textile incantations, these spells craft towards contemplation, connection, working on the expansive, building groups of kinetic energy, and collecting voices. Recognizing community as additive and the power within claiming a sea change.
