A wig reveals as much as it disguises.
Sometimes everything aligns and you can bring all the people, talents, and cocktails you like together for an afternoon of creative release. Katherine Helen Fisher and Shimmy Boyle of Safety Third Productions happened to have a Phantom camera for slow motion video on hand while they were in Atlanta. Delton Moore had the wigs. We had a vision, and we had other friends who enjoyed brunch and cocktails. We got together, had a blast, and flipped some wigs.
We set the video to our friend Rhò’s (Rocco Centrella) song “Lies”. Dressing up, painting faces, and putting on wigs could be a form of disguise or lying about who one is, and at the same time it could be about expression. I think the song works well for the video because it gives a nice juxtaposition to the exuberance of the slow motion movements.
